Glee Camp!
Camp Activities
Travelling to Cochrane for our second GLEEful year, this camp, inspired by the hit TV show, will focus on preparing show choir pieces that will be performed in our final concert on March 16th! Each student will sing and dance in at least six musical numbers. No experience or audition necessary!
Registered students can vote online for which songs they’d like to perform! Stay tuned!
Lock and Keynote was founded in 2006 by a group of five friends from Queen’s University
From 2006 - 2008, we hosted summer camps in Cochrane, Ontario, and Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
Our Corner Brook camp is hosted in cooperation with Sir Wilfred Grenfell College Activity Camps
2009 saw the premier of our Sudbury camp, hosted in cooperation with Arts North.
In 2010, we moved our Cochrane camp to Timmins, and continued our camps in Sudbury and Corner Brook.
What to Bring / Wear to Camp
Comfortable clothes are a necessity. Suitable items include anything that you don't mind getting dirty and stuff that's easy to move in (example, jogging pants, t-shirts, running shoes, etc.). Indoor shoes are required. NO FLIP FLOPS!
Each student will make their own arrangements for snacks and lunch. There will be breaks from 10:30 - 10:45 a.m. and 2:00 - 2:15 p.m. every day. Lunch hour will be from 12 until 1 p.m. and students are welcome to bring their lunch and eat at the school, or to make alternate arrangements. All Lock and Keynote, Arts North and SWGC activities are NUT FREE.
Camp Regulations
Lock and Keynote promises to provide a safe and inclusive environment. All participants will make an effort to support and encourage their fellow performers at all times. Failure to do so, after reasonable warning, may result in a suspension of privileges.
All participants are required to respect the space we are in and the property of others. Doing otherwise will not be tolerated and the participant may be asked to withdraw from the camp.
Throughout the session, there will be many fun theatre games. All of them will be closely supervised by one of our staff. Participation in these activities is mandatory. If a participant has any issues or concerns with any of our activities, he or she is encouraged to speak to one of the directors about this discomfort.
